SCHOLARSHIP

Name: The Border Ag & Energy Scholarship.

Purpose: The scholarship will recognize academic achievements as well as leadership skills of high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in agriculture .

Amount: The scholarship is $500.00.

Criteria: The following criteria will be used in selecting recipients.

  • Applicant is a high school senior graduating this calendar year.
  • Applicant is a well-rounded student and should maintain quality involvement in a balance of extracurricular activities and service activities plus demonstrates leadership ability and potential.
  • Applicant has sent application, high school transcript and two reference statements from individuals other than relatives no later than March 1. Forms are enclosed.
  • Funds are to be expended only for tuition, room and board, books or other appropriate educational expenses. Funds will be issued to the college prior to the beginning of the second semester.


Scholarship Application Submittal Instructions

Print the completed document. Mail information is below.

Applications materials:
Application, high school transcript and two Reference Statements must be submitted by March 1. Computer generated transcript is acceptable.

Reference Statement:
Ask two individuals, other than relatives, to complete a copy of the following Reference Statement.
