A Letter from the Office

Bottineau Farmers Elevator – Summer 2016

Author: Jenna Knutson

As we enter harvest and hopefully put another great crop in the bin, here at the office we need your help to complete a bit of summer cleaning.

This harvest season, we’d like our patrons to come in and see Jenna or Tammy to look over their accounts and see where they are at with their grain, what they have in the elevator and also look at accounts receivable balances and make sure everyone is up to date.

Some accounts have bills that are long past due. Others have had grain in storage here from as far back as 2010. You may not even realize how much grain you have in storage; maybe you’ve even forgotten about it completely (it does happen).

We want to get and keep everyone’s accounts current, and with your help we can.

If you have put grain on a delayed pricing contract, and have completed hauling on that contract, please come in and let us know or give us a call. Just by walking in and letting us know when you’ve delivered the last load, we are able to get your contracts done, printed and signed so that you know exactly how many bushels can be priced.

We don’t really know when you will be done until you call or stop in to let us know. You don’t have to price the bushels until you are ready, but having a signed contract for your unpriced bushels helps us stay current with our records for auditors, takes the guess work out of our jobs and makes managing your contracts more efficient.

Best of luck through harvest, and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
